Ski & Snowboard

LET’S HIT THE SLOPES!

Never Stop Dreaming…that’s the motto we live by, each and every single day. It’s more than a slogan, it’s our way of life here at Sunshine World in Poland.

These words are especially appropriate than during the winter, when the great snow, perfectly prepared pistes and cheap Polish prices make the dream of an affordable ski or snowboard holiday a reality.

The slopes of Poland are ideally suited to both beginners and family groups. Think gentle nursery slopes, long cruisy blues and the occasionally challenging red run, and you won’t be far from picturing our Polish resorts.

Eighteen kilometres of immaculately manicured pistes are on offer at Bialka Tatrzanska. They are linked by nine modern chairlifts, some with heated seats and bubble canopies, and twelve speedy drag lifts.

The long blue from the top of Kotelnica is a lovely run, ideal for those new to this wonderful sport. Young children will master it in no time; their parents won’t be too far behind! Boasting FIS World Cup accreditation, two nearby red runs present a great challenge for more confident skiers.

The hillsides are dotted with bars and restaurants, and there is even an indoor, thermally-heated water park at the base of the slopes. Cross country paths offer something a little different and there are ample opportunities to go off-piste in search of fresh powder.

Best of all, the entire resort is floodlit. At no extra cost, visitors can experience the magic of night-time skiing and snowboarding. An experience not to be missed.

The Tatryski pass opens up snowy fun in ten individual resorts. Those wanting something different might try the runs at Palenica, Jurgow or Czarna Gora. There is even the option of crossing the border into neighbouring Slovakia, to tackle the trio of black runs at Bachledova.

In Zakopane herself, a challenging red can be found beside the Mercure Kasprowy Hotel at Szymoszkowa. Try pronouncing that after a glass of vodka. Being floodlit, it’s perfect for those wanting their après ski to consist of yet more skiing.

People have been sliding down mighty Kasprowy Wiech for over one hundred years. Advanced skiers and snowboarders will love the black runs and powder bowls found at the top of the mountain, a formidable two thousand metres above sea level.
